Aviation Merit Badge Summary
Sanford-Lee County Airport

Five Troop 216 scouts converged on Sanford-Lee County Airport eager to learn about aviation.  David Williams, a ground school instructor, went through a presentation that closely followed the requirements of the Aviation Merit Badge.  The classroom session was followed by pre-flight inspections of the two aircraft that would soon be giving rides to these Young Eagles pilots. Scouts were also able to inspect other planes that were tied down outside. Our thanks go to David Williams and Charles Davis who are the two pilots that are members of our local EAA Chapter 1114 (www.eaa1114.org) - they donated their time and fuel for these Young Eagles rides.  More pictures from the merit badge session.
